The sign of Capricorn has gotten, along with Virgo, a lot of "bad press." It is considered a sign of selfishness, greed, cruelty, stinginess, uncaring, unresponsive, emotionally cold, and despondent (among other "not so pleasant" opinions about the sign)
This is most UNFORTUNATE: Because, the truth of the matter is, like her sister sign, Virgo, Capricorn does humanity a HUGE SERVICE. It really sets boundaries for HUMAN CONTINUITY and GROWTH. But this growth and continuity is accomplished through TRIALS, BURDENS, OBSTACLES, OPPOSITION, AND ADVERSITY.
IF YOU PASS SATURN'S TEST (AND CAPRICORN'S) THEN YOU WILL WIN IN THE END!
The key is to HOLD ON until the trial is over and learn from the experience-this applies to health as well.
II. PATHOGENIC PATHWAYS OF ILLNESS #2: THE ASTROLOGICAL SIGNS AND THEIR MEDICAL AXIS.
A. THE ARIES/LIBRA POLARITY THE RENAL AXIS
a. the head, cerebral hemispheres, the various organs within the head, and the eyes. Any affliction in Aries will react upon the head, producing headaches, neuralgia, coma and trance conditions, diseases of the brain and cerebral hemorrhages, mental illness
b.rules the kidneys, the suprarenals, the lumbar region of the spine, the vasomotor system and the skin, polyurea (suppression of urine), inflammation of the uteres which connect the kidneys with the bladder (bright's disease, lumbargo, eczema and other skin diseases), genitourinary system, hips (the pelvic girdle), the lions
NOTE: This axis more than any other (perhaps the Taurus/Scorpio axis coming a close second) seems to be prevalent in medical research charts
B. THE TAURUS/SCORPIO POLARITY : THE REPRODUCTIVE AXIS
a. rules the neck, throat, palate, larynx and tonsils, lower jaw, ears, and occipital region. The cerebellum is also under the rule of Taurus, so are the atlas and cervical vertebrae, the carotid arteries, jugular veins, and certain minor blood vessels, the mouth, jaw(inner epithelial lining), throat (outer layer or the ectodermal layer or loose connective tissue), burping and belching are mechanical aspects of the esophagus which is also ruled by taurus, so is acid reflux, constipation and sluggishness, goiter, diphtheria, croup and apoplexy, venereal diseases, and irregular menses.
b. bladder, urethra, and genital organs in general, also the rectum and the descending colon, the sigmoid processes and reflexor muscles, the prostate gland, and the nasal bones-thus afflictions in Scorpio produce nasal catarrh, the adenoids, and polyps. diseases of the womb and ovaries, various venereal diseases, stricture, and enlargement of the prostate gland, irregularities of the menses, leucorrhea, rupture, renal stones and gravel, the reproductive organs, the gestation process, certain processes of chemical absorption (the traversing jejunum along with the descending colon).
NOTE: The name of this axis is MISLEADING. The ANCIENTS have named this axis the reproductive axis during Ptolemy's time (and perhaps even earlier), but in today's times, this axis has also been identified and re-named the following:
INFECTION/HOMICIDE AXIS: during the late 70's and all through the 80's the HIV/AIDS epidemic shed new light on the morphology of genetic engineering, stem cell research, gene splicing and manipulation, and the rise of immunoscientology. Thousands of charts of A.I.D.S patients in their "end stages" revealed that the TAURUS/SCORPIO axis always seemed to play a role-including the deaths of the patients. Virulent pathogens that can threaten human civilization itself (like the Ebola virus, the Black plague, the Spanish Flu, HIV and S.A.R.S. all fall under the dominion of this axis. Sexual diseases, as it seems, plays a small role in this axis-in actual practice).
And there's another revelation: The midpoint pictures play a much more SIGNIFICANT ROLE than originally thought. The traditional aspects, as has been discovered, also play a minor to no role at all in identifying diseases! And those that do, don't reveal the timing or onset of a manifested disease. The midpoints, however, do!
In addition, people that have been murdered, have disappeared without a trace, or have died tragically (like the Titanic, for example; in which 1400 people perished, or the 9/11, where over 2000 Americans perished) also points to this axis as playing a major role-and again, it is not the aspects that tell the story-BUT THE MIDPOINT PICTURES!
THE UNUSUAL AND/OR THE UNEXPLAINED AXIS:
Again, our world is much more complex today than it was thousands of years ago and therefore adjustments and amendments have to be made to accommodate our rapidly changing world. People who have had out of body (OBE) experiences fall here, UFO encounters, Space Travelers, and other "rare" experiences or the unexplained (like ghost phenomenon and hauntings all seem to fall in this axis (rather than, the Virgo/Pisces axis, as it was originally presumed).
C. THE GEMINI/SAGITTARIUS POLARITY: THE RESPIRATORY AXIS:
a. arms, hands, shoulders, lungs, thymus gland, the upper ribs (or thoracic region), pulmonary diseases, pneumonia, pleurisy, the respiratory tract, diaphragm, the rib cage itself, allergies, bronchitis, asthma and inflammation of the pericardium, electrolytes and water pressure and acid-base chemistry (the pH barometer of the blood)
b. hips, thighs, the femur, ileum the coccygeal and sacral regions of the spine, the iliac arteries and veins, sciatic nerves, locomotor ataxia, sciatica, rheumatism, and hip diseases, and accidents leading to broken bones also fall here. As well as diseases acquired in foreign environments
NOTE: Again, the name of this axis is MISLEADING. In actual practice, this axis seems to come up more frequently in cases of neurological problems and disorders-both physiologically and psychologically than any other pathology so far mentioned connected to this axis.
D. THE CANCER/CAPRICORN POLARITY: THE REGULATORY & STRUCTURAL AXIS.
a.esophagus, stomach, diaphragm, pancreas, the mamary glands, lacteals, upper lobes of the liver, the thoracic duct, gall stones, jaundice, psychological depression, gloom, hypochondria, hysteria, cough, dropsy, hycops,suicide
b. skin, the knees, from the knees to the ankles, digestive disturbances, all skin diseases, hereditary or transferable diseases, emotional trauma, physical trauma, accidents
E. NOTE: Geoffrey Wolf Green in his famous book: Pluto; The soul's evolution through relationships( volume I & II), states that in order to successfully delineate a chart you must first examine the PAST LIFE DYNAMIC (this information need not be discussed with the client,since that's not what he's paying for, nor he/she might not believe in this and therefore, run the risk of losing credibility). Pluto is the planet of choice in examining the birth chart as a whole, concerning past life. But, the SIGNS OF THE ZODIAC WHICH DIRECTLY DEALS WITH PAST LIFE DYNAMICS, specifically, is the cancer/capricorn polarity.
c. This is why genetic diseases, heredity, and the gene pool all fall in CANCER (the birthplace of EVERYTHING)
d. CAPRICORN, hence, as a reflex opposite is the CONSOLIDATION AND MANIFESTATION of FORM, and therefore SUSTAINS, LIMITS, and later DESTROYS such form. In science we call this ENTROPY (the eventual breakdown of 'matter' as we conventionally know it to be, over time)
E. THE LEO/AQUARIUS POLARITY: THE CIRCULATORY/GENETIC AXIS.
a. the heart, the dorsal region of the spine, the spinal cord, the aorta, heart palpitations, faintings, aneurysm, spinal meningitis, scoliosis or curvature of the spine, arteriosclerosis, angina pectoris, anemia, all arteries and veins, the peripheral vascular system, legs, calves, sympathetic nervous system
b. accidents, "freak" growths, deformity, mutilation (including self-mutilations), insanity (due to brain infections or pathology), knee problems, breakdown of bodily structures, "sudden" changes, turning points, and the "unexplained"
NOTE: To be totally honest with you; Genetics, and the mystery of genetics is ascribed to the sign of CANCER (the birthplace of EVERYTHING WE KNOW), BUT IN ACTUAL PRACTICE, we have found the Leo/Aquarius axis more telling of genetic material than any other axis.
F. THE VIRGO/PISCES POLARITY: THE DIGESTIVE/IMMUNE AXIS:
a. intestines, GI tract, colon, lymphatic system, hepatic system, liver, innate and adaptive immunity, allergenic diseases, peptic disorders, malabsoption, and the "blurring" of boundaries from the SELF (Virgo) versus the NOT SELF (Pisces); not distinguishing between these boundaries (or realities) can lead to immune breakdown.
b. THE MIND/BODY CONNECTION: We can transcend ANY DISEASE STATE IF WE LEARN TO USE OUR MINDS TO CONTROL THE OUTCOME OF ANY CONDITION OR SITUATION:
